Shelby - Adoption Pending!

My story

Shelby is a gray and white 4-year-old pittie mix that weighs in around 70 lbs. She has the most beautiful eyeliner and a wiggly body just made for snuggling. Shelby comes off a bit shy when you first meet her, but once she opens up, let the kisses and pets begin! She loves snuggling and playing with her humans and is happy to just chill by your side all day long. She is a great home office dog and is pretty low energy. Even on days when weather doesn’t permit a long or good walk, she is content to just curl up and nap with you or at your feet or keep herself entertained with a toy or bone. Shelby has a lot of dog school under her collar that makes her a well-behaved pup. She does, however, prefer to be the only dog in the home. Shelby was adopted into a family through PFP and was recently returned to our rescue after the family realized she did not get along with their resident dog, even after training and time. She does enjoy going on pack walks and occasionally running the fence with neighbor dogs, but she would be a best fit in a home as the only resident dog. She also needs a cat-free home and a home with older kids or adults only. Shelby is crate trained and very trustworthy. Her foster family has never had to worry about her destroying things or climbing on furniture. Her tail on the other hand… that’s her most powerful weapon! Silver lining is, that’s how she shows her happiness – with her tail and her whole body. So you know she’s always a happy girl!
