My story

Needs: Fenced in yard, patient family, no young children. Can't decide between a cat or a dog? Get two in one, Hazel the Catdog! On her cat side, she loves to nap, sit on the couch, doesn't need your company to be content but would prefer it, doesn't go on walks, catches bugs, loves a good hiding spot, gives an excellent side-eye, can be mischievous, and has no problems sashaying away when you displease her. On her dog side, she's cute, wiggly, loving, barks at door knocks, loves a good belly rub, adores food, will get the zoomies, has her favorite itchy spot, sings, gives gentle kisses, and will love you forever and ever. She's sweet and silly, and her little singing voice is how she likes to talk to you. Not a full howl song, a little gentle “aaaa” that she'll change the pitch of. Her foster mom calls her Mariah Carey when she does it. She comes from the hoarder case a few months ago, and through some time and TLC she's become so much braver. Now she's ready to go to her forever home! She would love a lazy family who aren't always in a hurry to go anywhere. She would do fine on her own or with a doggy sibling. She has begun playing with her foster sister now that she's begun to learn how, and has been around dogs of all sizes. She is not cat-tested, but her personality is very calm and we believe she would do just fine with them. She is still unable to walk on a leash normally. She is fine out in the yard, she'll go out and sniff around, do her business, sunbathe if you let her, but when you open the door she'll be right back inside to hop on her favorite couch spot! A truly lazy dog. The only time you'll see her running is if she's got the zoomies and does a lap around the yard, or if you drop something loud and she scuttles away into a hiding spot. Who knows what adversity she faced while she was with 30+ other dogs, but her temperament stayed sweet and kind through it all. There isn't a mean bone in her body. She needs a patient family who will respect her boundaries, as at first she may revert to a shy nervous girl. But in no time at all she'll be snuggling to your side, giving her oh so gentle kisses, and singing her sweet songs. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!!
