URGENT FEMALE FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED: This adorable ladies man, Alfie has quite a sad story. He was abandoned at a dog training/boarding facility. His previous owner got him as a gift for her teen aged daughter. She never paid him any attention. The mother took him to get obedience trained and socialized and they never came back for him. They paid for the training up front too. How sad is that. Thankfully, he is safe with a foster family. Alfie is a Rat Terrier. About 5 years old, potty trained, and crate trained. He is somewhat energetic and he has spunk. He's also obedience trained and worked on socialization while he was at the training facility. However, at his foster family’s, we quickly learned it is best that he goes to a female-only home. For some reason, he is terrified of men. We’re not sure how he is with kids, but he does well with small dogs. No big dogs, please. He’s never been around cats, so we don't know how he is with cats. It breaks our hearts what happened to him in the past. We want to help this sweet little guy feel safe and comfortable.
