My story

Catnip excels at napping. In fact, Catnip is good at all sleep-related activities. He loves snuggling in your arms like a baby, lying on his back with all 4 paws facing up, hogging any available fluffy blankets, and curling up next to other cats. While beauty rest is is a big part of this kitten’s daily schedule, he does make time for other activities. He can even be kinda loud and energetic. Catnip loves chasing around his favorite toy: a shiny wrinkly sounding ball. If it gets stuck, he'll make high pitched chirping sounds at you until you rescue it and he can continue playing. He also likes chasing around and wrestling with other cats. Of course, wrestling is strenuous and may call for an extra-long nap. He gets along great with other cats and is currently in a foster home with Tumeric. Catnip was born around 5/27/20 If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Catnip, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Inquires with these questions answered are responded to promptly. We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more. Photos by Sara Pfannkuche.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Catnip, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
