My story

Dexter is a beautiful senior male kitty. He most likely is a mix of Norwegian Forest Cat because he is white with a tabby body and has long beautiful fur in the winter. He is a gentle cat that loves to be brushed and enjoys a window view (perch), napping, and being brushed. Did I mention brushing...ha ha! He is a healthy old guy that would really like to have a home to spend his senior years. Consider fostering this wonderful boy if you can’t adopt. He is FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) positive. FIV is a widely misunderstood condition. Many people think that it’s easily spread, makes cats very sick, and that they have a lower life expectancy, so they are not often adopted. This is far from the truth! Please contact your Vet for information or contact Joy’s Animal Rescue 316-208-1872 who can provide you with current information. Contact Joy’s Animal Rescue for information or questions. Please check out Joy’s volunteer positions. We could really use your help!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dexter, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
