Corgi + Toller + Terrier mix | 3 years | Male | 22 lbs | Owner Surrender | NEEDS AN EXPERIENCED ADOPTER Temperament: Intelligent, anxious, sweet! Activity level: Moderate energy. Enjoys long walks but is very cuddly at home. Vetting: Vaccinated (core vaccines), heart worm bloodworm (negative) & fecal test (pending); neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea/tick/Heartworm prevention given. Housebroken: Yes! Good with dogs: He is okay with certain dogs with proper introductions. He is reactive towards other dogs while on leash and will bark at them. Good with cats: No. Good with children: No. Prey drive: None observed. Separation anxiety: None observed. Crate trained: Not needed. Resource guarding: He will guard things from other dogs, but has never guarded anything from humans. Barky/noisy: Will bark at the door or at things out the window. Leash etiquette: Great! Walks well on leash, though can be reactive when he sees other dogs. Transportation: Great in car and on public transit! *Finley’s bio may change as we get to know him better. *We cannot guarantee breed mix but a doggie DNA was done by owner. Finley is the cutest, scruffy mutt that you will ever meet! Who wouldn’t fall instantly in love with those beautiful puppy dog eyes of his? Finley is a very intelligent pup! He understands language cues very well and learns tricks quickly. He knows sit, come and stay all very well and is perfectly housetrained. Finley would be a great candidate for a dog sport such as agility training or trick training to make use of his smarts. Finley enjoys his time outdoors while on long walks. He walks well on a leash, though he can be reactive to other dogs that he sees on his walks and will bark at them. Finley’s forever home should be ready to help him work on this. Finley is a great city walker and is used to the hustle and bustle of busy Toronto streets. He is a great partner on the go and does well travelling both in car and on public transport. Finley will need an experienced, quiet and adult-only home. His adopters will need to be comfortable working with behavioural issues. Finley has been territorial of his home previously, so someone who has dog experience and willing to work on Finley’s training with him is a must. Finley does not do well around children and will need to be in a home with no kids. He would also thrive as the only pet in his new home so that he can receive all the love and snuggles for himself. Finley can be anxious around other dogs which can translate into leash reactivity. He will bark at dogs that he sees on walks, not understanding that they are not a threat to him. Finley is also not a candidate for dog parks. He has done very well around other dogs on a visit to our farm sanctuary though! So with proper, slow introductions he can be okay with certain dogs. Finley is a very sweet and snuggly boy who loves his people. Finley will provide all the doggie cuddles you could want, only asking for some belly rubs in return. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Finley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
