My story

BANKS is a very special gentleman with so much love to give. He is a goofy, sweet boy who just loves to lounge around the house and lay his head on any willing lap. Don’t let this boy’s size fool you. BANKS is a gentle and calm kind of guy. He currently lives in a great foster home with dogs of every size. He gets along with everyone famously. His favorite things are being petted, sun bathing, snacks and quiet strolls through the neighborhood. He is just as happy to spend a day relaxing at home as he is to spend it on a restaurant patio. As long as he is with his family, he is content anywhere. His kind eyes and happy soul brings a smile to the faces of everyone who has the pleasure of meeting this wonderful guy. He is quiet and mannerly wherever he may be and is always a joy to be around. BANKS is going to bring so much light and warmth into his lucky forever family’s life. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/). For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport). Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated.
