My story

This handsome boy came to us when his family could no longer care of him. Iko is a sweet, affectionate soul who is looking for a loving, quiet, peaceful home. He can be a little shy and skittish, at first, but after a short time, his tail will be wagging. Iko is about 8 years old. He loves to chew on his toys, go on walks and enjoys car rides. It is very important that Iko be an only dog. Due to his skittish nature and progressive blindness, he startles easily, is fearful and does not tolerate other dogs. For these same reasons, it is also very important that Iko not be in a home with children or in a home where children visit. Iko has an eye condition where, unfortunately, he will eventually loose his vision. He continues to have limited vision, at this time and easily navigates his way around. Blind dogs get along very well once they know their surroundings. Some helpful information: http://www.vetstreet.com/our-pet-experts/what-to-expect-when-a-dog-goes-blind-and-how-to-help-him-adapt Iko would love to snuggle up with you on the couch and go to sleep in your arms. For more information, please contact Janet at janetleigh44@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Iko- ADOPTED, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
