My story

Arrival story: Mama Poppy came to us pregnant from Detroit Animal Control and gave birth to Elton and his siblings a short time after arriving at Waggin' Tails. All of Elton's siblings have been adopted. Approximate Age / Weight: 7 months old and 45 lbs. (Jan 20200 Personality: Elton is a sweetheart who gives great snuggles! He is a cautious-by-nature kind of pup who likes to sit back and observe rather than jump right into new situations. Elton attends doggy daycare and does really well mingling with his canine pals. He walks well on a leash and loves to play with toys and is so much fun to watch romp around the backyard. Forever home: Ideal home for Elton includes a confident dog pal and a person/family that will allow Elton to tackle the world at his own pace. No electric fences, please. We generally have two adoption events per month. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of Saturday adoption events after an application is submitted and approved. Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog. -Adult Dog Adoption Fee - $225 -Small Breed Adoption Fee - $275 -Senior Dog Adoption Fee - $125 -Pup Adoption Fee - $250 plus $50 spay/neuter deposit refunded upon proof of surgery by 6 mos.
