My story

Pookie knows what it's like to have a home! Adopted as a kitten in early 2010, it seemed that Pookie would spend his life with the comfort and love of a family. Sadly, when his behavior began to change, so did his living status, and little more than a year later, Pookie found himself back in our care. After a thorough medical examination the cause of Pookie's behavioral change became painfully obvious - the poor boy had lots of crystals in his urine! The discomfort he experienced would have been enough to make anyone a little grumpy! Pookie is now on a special diet to prevent a recurrence of the crystals, which may make it harder for him to find a home, but he is pain free and back to his normal cuddly self!
