My story

Markie Mark is a young male Pyrenees mix 8-10 months old. He came to us as an unclaimed stray from our local animal control facility and currently weighs in at just under 90 pounds. Markie is a sweet, happy and very handsome boy but like many new rescues, arrived with no training or manners. He spent a month with an inhome trainer learning many things and getting better ready for adoption. Markie knows some commands now, is kennel trained and has a good start on better house and leash manners. Markie improves on his manners with daily practice and is a smart boy but is still very much a puppy and needs an adopter committed to continuing the training and socialization(canine and human) all puppies need throughout adolescence. A securely fenced yard is required to adopt Markie. He has lots of energy and needs plenty of outside playtime as well as walks. Markie loves to play with other dogs but can be overwhelming to dogs that won't set their rules with him. He does respect both alpha adult males and females. Since he came to us as a stray with no history we do not know if he has any experience with children. He is not a good fit for kitties. If interested in Markie please visit our website gprci.com to find adoption info and an application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Markie Mark ADOPTED, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
