My story

Rocco, born in December 2018, is an intelligent Terrier mix, tipping the scales at around 40 lbs. Initially reserved around strangers, Rocco quickly warms up once he gets to know you, revealing his affectionate and clever nature. The ideal setting for Rocco would be a loving home where he is the sole four-legged companion, as he values his toys and meals without sharing, alongside a secure fenced yard to explore and play in. Rocco is adept at being crate-trained and is a joy to be around feline pals. His future adopter will play a vital role in helping Rocco overcome his fears, and with dedication and patience, Rocco is sure to blossom into an even more remarkable companion. If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $100/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance. The suggested adoption donation for Rocco is $415 which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.  If you would like to welcome Rocco into your home, please begin by submitting our adoption application.  The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person.
