My story

Name: Daffodil Nicknames: Daffy, Daffadoodle Age: 13 weeks Sex: Female Breed: Mama is a Boxer. We know because we rescued her too. Papa was a rolling stone, but also said to be a Boxer. There is definitely a pinch of something else in the mix. Current Weight: 18.5 lbs. Estimated final weight: On the larger side. Before OMD: Surrendered to the shelter in a cardboard box with her three siblings and their mom, Daisy, who had a massive tumor on her hind end. Expert in: Running full-speed ahead. Telling you how she really feels. Being the most confident of the crew. Master of: The head tilt. Life Motto: Go big or go home! What we love: Her larger than life personality. Her determination and exuberance. Dogs: Definitely! Daffodil has been well socialized with her mom, siblings, and the other dogs in her foster homes. Cats: Yes! She is just fine with the cat in her foster home, and we expect she’ll do well with any resident cat if properly introduced and supervised. Kiddos: Absolutely! As long as they are sturdy enough to roll with the puppy punches, i.e. jumping and nibbling. Ideal Family: Active and ready to keep up with a Boxer puppy’s energy. Committed to her staying well socialized with people and other animals. Dedicated to ongoing training. Devoted to her becoming a rescue dog ambassador. Housebroken and Crate Trained: She’s just a baby! Her foster mom is working with her but she will need continued work on these skills. Daffodil is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She will be spayed when she is 6 months of age. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states.
