My story

A cat named Mrs. Potts?! Best.Name.Ever! This cat even likes to act like she's in a Disney musical. 14 year old Mrs. Potts has the vocal cords of a kitten and loves to put a meow-singing show on for you! Really, Mrs. Potts just wants you to notice her; she LOVES attention. In fact, Mrs. Potts demands attention and pets- she's an old lady and she's going to get what she wants, cat-dammit! :-P Now you may be surprised to hear that Mrs. Potts first came to the shelter on bite quarantine. Oh yeah- gma has a wild side. Weeeell, not really. ;-) The story goes that Mrs. Potts was a neighborhood cat for awhile. She was trying to come inside someone's house when they "shooed" her outside and she turned and bit. Sheesh, can't an old gal just get some air conditioning?! Staff has observed that Mrs. Potts does not like any sort of pressure on her hind end; you just have to be careful to pick her up a certain way and she's cool. Mrs. Potts is 14 years old, so I'm sure she has some age-related arthritis going on. Mrs. Potts is such a character and so affectionate, I can't believe this gal was just an outside/neighborhood cat. She deserves a life of luxury and pampering indoors! You can visit Mrs. Potts at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Mrs. Potts adoption fee includes spay surgery and 3 in 1 vaccination.
