She only knows Stinky lol. Stinky is a special needs dog with a lot of quirks and an award-winning personality. We are guessing she is apx 5 years old and that is a complete guess as it is very hard to age her. Stinky is a wee 3.5 lb. Lists of ailments Miss Stinky Monster has along with her quirks, pros, cons, and the things we love about her most of all; 1. Luxating Patella in both hind limbs, although she runs around, dances and uses the dog stairs to get on the couch. We will not operate on her knees. It took 3 days for Yucca to come around after her spay surgery so unless surgery is absolutely necessary, we will not perform it. She does not appear to be in pain and is mobile. Please research luxating patella specifically in small breed dogs before applying to adopt. 2. Curvature of the spine. This can be from degeneration or arthritis or a congenital birth defect. She does have a humpback but has no back pain or immobility due to her back. We can not promise as Yucca ages, that these joint and bone issues will not get worse or cause pain in the future. 3. Overactive sebaceous glands which make her oily and sometimes a bit smelly :) She is 25% hairless and the hair she does have is thin. I bathe her twice a week with tee tree shampoo and this helps her to not live up to her name. The pro to this is she does not shed hardly at all, if at all. 4. Her eyes and teeth are in good health. Her teeth have mild tarter build up but she has all of her toofers and they are in good standing. 5. Yucca has fabulous potty manners and will go outside or on the pee pad. You do need to pick her up and take her outside, but once out there, she enjoys herself. She will always go to the pee pad if she needs to go. We never crate her. 6. Stinky sleeps on her own bed on the floor next to mine all night with too many covers in which she buries herself in. She never makes a peep. 7. The only time Yucca barks is when she wants table food. It is a bad habit that we are trying to fix. She barks at you then does a little salsa dance. The first week it was endearing and comical.....a month in and I am not sure I can say the same. 8. Stinky also has hyper extended front elbows as well. Because why not. She just stands like a toad.....nothing to see here. 9. Stinky LOVES people, gets along with everyone and adores attention from any human that will give it to her. 10. She is great with other dogs unless table food, special treats or lap time is involved, then she can become a bit snarky like and chihuahua. She will be a little brat if she is on your lap and another dog approaches but a firm "Stinky be nice" and she goes back to her designated spot curled in her little itty ball next to you. She shows her teeth and does her little smile but never actually bites. Just a chi-tude, typically for these 3 pounders. She could care less about the cat. 11. Stinky is a great DANCER! 12. She loves to give kisses, especially on your feet. and mostly only on your feet. 13. Stinky sleeps all day and then comes alive between the hours of 7 pm and 10 pm in which she acts like a toddler puppy then promptly goes back to acting like a decrepit old woman for the next 21 hours. I have no clue what this is all about. 14. The kicker, because as if she were not so highly adoptable already, is Stinky likes to hump people. :) Not other dogs, or toys, or the cats, your legs and feet and just every so often. She likes to drive by hump you. It is an odd habit that we obviously are trying to break. When it first starting happening we really did not know WHAT she was trying to do, until it all came clear. She loves children but will hump your children. I have seen it happen as the little girl cried out " Miss Tamie I think Stinky is trying to pee on me!" oh dear. So this long bio concludes the following; If you have a big heart and a huge sense of humor to adopt this animal I was told was a dog but looks like a creature from lord of the rings and acts like a movie character only Bill and Ted could have made up, you can apply to adopt at www.texaschihuahuarescue.org Apply to adopt this cutie at www.texaschihuahuarescue.org Our adoption fee is $500 Canadian. The adoption fee includes vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, collar and harness and transportation to Canada. All the dogs will have a wellness check at the veterinarian before travelling to Canada. Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in San Antonio where this dog is currently being fostered. Check out our Facebook page and give us a like! https//www.facebook.com/TXCRCanada

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Yucca, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
