My story

Khloe is a sweet Yorkie girl who is 8 years old and weighs 9 pounds. She is being fostered in Odessa, FL. UPDATED BIO 06/28/2019: Darling Khloe has been in her foster home for 10 days now. She was surrendered by her former owners when they realized she needed to be in a home where she wasn’t crated so much. She is a bit on the shy side but is coming out of her shell more and more, and doesn’t enjoy being in her former “safe spot” (her crate) as much, and when she does come out, her little tail is always happily wagging. She is warming up to her Foster Dad and now enjoys lying beside him on the couch. Khloe wants to be playful with the dogs in the foster home, and runs back and forth with him, unsure of how to initiate play, but that will soon come. Here’s many wonderful things about this sweet girlie: - She rides really well in the car. - She is both leash-trained and house-trained – what a smart girlie! - She LOVES being outside and just sitting in the yard, so a home with a fenced-in yard would be a bonus. - She comes readily when called, and her foster parents are teaching her other commands like sit/down/stay. - She loves treats and takes them very gently. - She is not toy or food-aggressive. - She is good at bath-time. Basically, Khloe is a perfect little girlie who would love to have a doggie companion close to her age and size in her forever home. She would be okay with children over the age of 12 years old. Because Khloe has been left alone for long periods of time, it would be wonderful if she had at least one stay-at-home parent so she won’t be left alone for long hours.
