My story

HOWIE Howie is an 8 month old, 7 pound male Rat Terrier mix who owes his future to Johnny Rocket's Philly cheese steak. Howie missed out on some socialization when he was very young, so he's been going to the Cottonwood Mall on dog days to learn to trust people and other dogs, and to have lunch with new dog friends. Howie will likely take longer to adjust to a new home than other dogs. He's hand shy with people, but has come around with his foster, after lots of work and lots of treats. Howie will need a dog friend at home and experienced and patient people who will keep him safe and diligently work with him over time to be comfortable in his new family. Howie can become afraid in new situations, and bolts when he's fearful, so he needs a super secure home and yard, without young children.
