My story

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! Luna is an Alaskan Klee Kai, 13 months old, and 30lbs. Please do your research on this breed before committing to adopt her! They are incredible dogs, but not for everyone. Very smart, energetic, smart, loyal, affectionate, and did I mention smart? From Lunas foster dad: Great with other dogs, she has seemed uninterested in cats that I've shown her so that's a good thing. I can't saw how she is with kids. (my son has been in Houston for a week with my sister-in-law), but she did well with them at the adoption event we had last weekend. She is house broken and crate trained. She potties when she's supposed to. No accidents during the time I've had her. Being young, she is still very playful, she might agitate some older dogs with her playfulness so that should be monitored closely. Her owners gave her up because they live in an apartment and it's not enough room for Luna to play. She answers to her name, sits, and I've been working on "lay down", with good progress. She is a vey affectionate dog however she does jump up often, that will take some work, She loves to play but she knows how to relax and be lazy too. Her favorite toy was a chewable made of aged yak milk. She loves belly rubs and under the chin tickles. Her theme song would be the Theme from Indiana Jones since her life has been an adventure.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Luna, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
