My story

Sabrina was brought to the Oakland CA animal shelter as a stray. She was very easy to handle during the intake process. She has been at the shelter for nearly 5 months. Most German Shepherds and / or Huskies do poorly in a shelter environment being kenneled for many hours per day. Sabrina seems to have adjusted nicely to shelter life, which is why she is still alive, and hasn't yet been euthanized. She is a favorite of all the volunteers and staff that work with her on a daily basis. Her only issue is that she isn't comfortable around other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home. With the right kind of training, she could probably learn to be less reactive around dogs. Due to her breed mix, she should be in a home without cats. Sabrina is still out the Oakland Shelter as a "rescue only" due to her issues with other dogs. She can only be adopted through a rescue group, such as Nobody's Perfekt Dogs. The shelter is full and unfortunately she has overstayed her welcome. She needs to in a new home ASAP. Here is a link to her Oakland Shelter webpage: http://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/animal-profile/?rescueNeeded=true&id=34307&siteGroupId=17&accesscode=__35207&_ga=2.59773807.331880329.1558751317-88378713.1518228302 Please contact us if you are interested in helping this gorgeous gal. nobodysperfektdogs@comcast.net 510-459-0396 (cell / text)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sabrina, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
