Pinna, spayed female, 8-months-old, 30-lbs If you would like to give PINNA a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com or log onto abetterchancerescue.org To fill out online application Visit us at Yelp: https://www.yelp.com/biz/a-better-chance-rescue-san-mateo If you want a sweet tempered dog to keep you company, Pinna would be the one! She is an absolute gem, seldom do we come across a dog that is this mellow and quiet; all she wants is to keep you company all day long. Always just quietly follow you everywhere and don’t ask for anything in return. Pinna has shiny white coat with patches of black hair, cute pointed ears, unique features for Taiwanese brand dogs. Pinna is outgoing and playful by nature, very friendly and active. When visitors showed up, she will bark to express her welcome. She would easily overcome her shyness toward strangers if approached with treats. Pinna learned good sanitary habit, and gets along well with other dogs and stays calm around cats, still curious though. Pinna would be a good match with family of older children. Interactions with strangers When she is out, she is more observant with strangers, making sure they are no harm before she lets the stranger approach. Good with dogs She never gets into confrontation at the park with other dogs. If other dogs are having a confrontation, she usually runs back to you and stays out of trouble. No fear aggression: If you have to pick a fault with her, it would be that she does get scared easily with loud noises or sudden movements. But even when she is startled, she just sits down immediately; never show aggression or biting. Her biggest fear is seeing men in black clothing; she would try to avoid contact by going a different route. Pinna is more accepting of women versus men. She tends to be more guarded with men but after meeting a few times, she usually puts her guard down and let them pet or walk her. With kids: Even though she doesn’t initiate interaction with children, she’d stay calm around them. Family without young kids is recommended, since Pinna is wary of loud noise and big movements. Pinna’s rescue story: Pinna and her siblings were born to a stray mother in the desolate suburban mountain area. It's very difficult for puppies to survive in such harsh environment, so when the rescuer was notified, she knew it was urgent to save them. She quickly took them home, and later found foster families to ready them for adoption. The rescuer strives to find them good homes where they will be loved and cared for.
