Sonya

My story

Sonya is an Akita mix so she chooses the people and dogs she will trust. She has love in her heart, but will need a patient hand. Sonya is not very happy about being in a kennel most of the day and once outside with a staff member or volunteer she turns into a big snuggly baby rolling in the grass and wanting her belly rubbed, looking to play tug of war with toys (she usually wins!). Sonya has recently learned to sit for a treat, and once she has accepted you as one of her people she is devout. If you would like to visit her, our office hours are 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. and we are closed to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays.
