My story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS. JR is an adorable little guy, 19 pounds of joy, who lost his home when his owner fell on hard times. He is somewhere between 7-9 years old. The great thing about JR is that he has that smart, fun Jack Russell personality but not the hyperness. He has a pleasing, medium energy level that makes him a great companion. He loves to run around but then is ready for nap time. He loves sleeping in his crate and is a chill little guy after he has had some fun. In a home setting, he is a pretty laid back kind of guy most of the time. He is also a super loving little dude who makes friends easily. Be silly and welcoming with him and he will throw himself into your lap and roll around for snuggles and tummy rubs with a BIG smile on his face! He adores being scrubbed all over and wriggles in goofy delight. He loves being near his people and likes to follow you around. JR likes to cuddle. He seems to be good with everyone and is nicely, pleasingly confident but not brash, like some Jack Russells can be. He has been fine with other dogs in his foster home but does not show any interest in playing with them so would probably enjoy being an only dog. He does seem to ignore cats. JR is housetrained already, yay! He will bark to go outside and bark to let you know it is time to come back inside. He is good on the leash and truly loves going for walks and being outside but he is an easy walker, not too fast. He is a good boy and non reactive to other passing dogs. JR bonds very quickly, just assumes everyone will adore him (they do!) and will do best in a home in which he gets to have plenty of people time. JR is a playful guy and enjoys playing with toys. However, he can get protective over his toys when over excited with games such as tug. Trading a toy for an equally great toy is normally a very successful technique to teach a dog to drop and not get too attached to one item. He can be possessive about his food bowl so no little kids in his new home who might snatch his bowl or stick their finders in it. Even though he adores people and loves to be close, he does not care to be scooched over when hanging out on the sofa or other favorite place. He should fit in well in most any family but does need a family that understands the Jack Russell personality. He is such a loving sweetheart and deserves to be in a great new home. He should be fine with teenagers. He initially tested positive for heartworm but has been treated already so is ready to go home with you! Adoption donation $175. Be sure to check out our other great dogs at www.lovingpetinnadoptions.org Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Go to www.lovingpetinnadoptions.org 2. Click on the "Adoption Application" link on the left side of the page. 3. The application will open as a PDF and you should have the ability to fill it in from that page. Be sure to complete all fields. 4. Save the application to your computer, then attach in an email and send to lovingpetinnadoptions@gmail.com ~OR~ 5. Print the application and fax to 336-664-6302. 6. Someone will review your application as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours, and will be in touch with next steps.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt JR, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
