2024 PetSmart Charities & Hill’s Pet Adoption Contest ("Contest")
Important: By participating in the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements below.
OFFICIAL RULES
Sponsor. The “Sponsor” of the Contest is PetSmart Charities, Inc., 19601 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85027 USA.
Eligibility. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. The Contest is open only to approved Sponsor Adoption Partners (“Adoption Partners”), located in the 50 United States (and the District of Columbia) and Puerto Rico. Adoption Partners must be an approved Adoption Partner during the entire Contest Period and on the date the winners are announced to be eligible to win.
Contest Period. The “Contest Period” shall commence on May 20, 2024 and shall continue through May 26, 2024.
How to Enter the Contest. All eligible Adoption Partner must submit their adoptions completed at PetSmart Stores during the Content Period via Adoptions Made Easy (AME); by doing so, Adoption Partners are automatically entered for the Contest during the Contest Period.
Winning Criteria & Prizes.
- The Adoption Partner with the most adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will win a $15,000 donation.
- The Adoption Partner with the second most adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will win a $10,000 donation.
- The Adoption Partner with the most senior pet* adoptions at a PetSmart store during the Contest Period submitted via AME will a win $5,000 donation.
Winners will be notified via email on or before May 31, 2024. Donations will be deposited by June 28, 2024 upon verification of eligibility.
*Senior pets are those pets born in May 2017 or earlier.
Odds of Winning a Contest Prize. Odds are not applicable due to this being a Contest and not a random drawing giveaway.
Disclaimer. Sponsor and its Related Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related or technical malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor or by non-authorized human intervention; (d) damage caused by computer virus or otherwise resulting to any computer from entrant's participation in the Contest or access of the any websites related to the Contest, whether human, mechanical or electronic; (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (f) incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in the Contest; or (g) any acts or omissions of PetSmart, including any store closers or restrictions on the in-store adoption program.
Release. By entering the Contest, entrants release Sponsor and any of its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Related Parties”) from any liability whatsoever, and waive all causes of action related to claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injury, death, or damage to or loss or destruction of property), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or otherwise (“Claims”). By entering the Contest, entrants also agree to fully indemnify Sponsor and its Related Parties and hold each of them harmless from any and all Claims of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest, including any use or enjoyment of any prize.
General. Entrants agree to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to change these rules or terminate the Contest at any time. Entrants who: violate these rules; who violate any law, rule or regulation in connection with participation in the Contest; who tamper with the operation of the Contest; or who engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Contest or any other entrant; are subject to disqualification. Sponsor decisions with respect to the Contest are final and binding. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state of Arizona or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state of Arizona.
Use of Entrant Name, Likeness, etc. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Contest, you hereby consent to Sponsor’s use of use your name, image and voice (“Likeness”) in its internal communications and publications and on social media and other marketing platforms (the “Media”) without compensation to you. You hereby permit and authorize Sponsor to use, reuse, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, display, distribute or broadcast your Likeness at any time in connection with the Media in all cases, without a requirement to notify you. You waive any right of privacy associated with your Likeness in connection with the Media as well as the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein your Likeness appears. You understand and agree that the Media is the property of Sponsor.

Privacy. Any personally identifiable information collected during your participation in this Contest will be used by Sponsor and its agents for purposes of the proper administration and fulfillment of the Contest as described in these Official Rules, and in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy, posted https://petsmartcharities.org/privacy-policy and as allowed by law.
