Glacier ended up at a very crowded shelter in Tennessee after her previous owners surrendered her for eating chicken eggs (despite being good with the chickens!). Now we have Glacier safe in boarding with rescue, and she is looking to find a foster or forever home of her own. She has been described as a gentle, sweet girl who likes everybody she meets. She loves other dogs, is unfazed by cats, and is fantastic meeting new people! Glacier has lived indoors and is crate, leash, and house-trained. She has a healthy respect for fencing (a 5’ fence would suit her fine), and is not an escape artist, which is more than we can say for some of her Pyr peers! Because she has the goofy, curious energy of a youngster, her perfect forever home will include a loving parent or two, a canine friend to play with, lots of fun walks and exercise, and a cozy crate to snooze in when unattended at home. These dogs travel with an Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered.
