My story

Hello! My name is Babushka, I am a 14 year old, spayed female, long-haired Norwegian Forest cat. I was relinquished to MaxFund January 2025 by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home!The staff are still getting to know me, please check back later or come meet me to see my personality!I haven`t met any dogs or kids, and this is my first time being around other cats so I am not yet sure how I would do in a home with others. If you have kids, you can bring them to meet me! If you have a dog, the shelter staff can test me with a MaxFund dog and see how I do.I am a little overweight (over 11 pounds) and need a weight management diet. I love food a little too much! I would also benefit from some exercise and extra play time. I have arthritis in my knee and need to be more thin. I would benefit from Cosequin to help my joints. My tears may not drain normally so you will need to clean the tears next to my eyes daily with a damp paper towel to prevent buildup. I also need daily brushing since I am a long hair so my fur doesn`t get tangled and matted. Lastly, I am missing most of my teeth! I can still eat dry food though.If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please come to the shelter to meet me!The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.
