Libi

My story

Sad eyes and tail tucked is how we met Libi. The shelter can really bring the worry to these wonderful dogs. Libi was abandoned but probably not for long. She arrived plump! Libi has the cutest little tail wag and bouncy step when she hears soft kind words. She allows handling all over and even sits next to us on the bench briefly. Libi didn't show any command knowledge but we will chalk it up to shelter jitters. She seems like she was loved at some point. We want that for her again soon. Arrived at the shelter 11/20/24. *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
