My story

Sol was found tied to a pole outside of the shelter. So things are already improving for this sweet girl. Sol is just a baby who got up close and personal right away for treats, all the love and all the kisses she could sneak in. She came running over when we called, sat before we asked and took treats so gently. She was soaking up the tiniest bit of affection we gave her and sat patiently while we found just the right treat no matter what action was happening around her. Sol is a real sweetheart. Came in as a stray on 11/21/24 Left tied to pole outside of the shelter *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
