My story

Could there be a more picture perfect fall photo? The shades of brown, the flash of orange, the fallen leaves; it's gorgeous! And so is Jude. Unfortunately, other than Jude's beautiful shades of brown, the other shades of brown are dead grass in a play space at an overcrowded city shelter and that flash of orange is a destroyed toy. Sigh. Sweet Jude, and all of our dogs deserve better. Jude loves cuddles, loves treats, and loves being outside in the crisp fall weather. Jude is hoping he can beat the odds and make into a loving forever home. He's petite and pure joy. Came in as a stray on 11/7/24. Found near 5600 S. Mozart Chicago Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
