My story

Fiona is a sweet and curious young cat who loves lounging in a cozy spot and soaking up the sunshine by a bright window. Playful and independent, she’s happiest when she has the freedom to explore and observe her surroundings. Fiona would do best in a patient, understanding home with another confident cat who can help bring out her playful side.While she may be a bit shy at first, Fiona warms up with time and feels comfortable being around people once she knows she’s safe. She isn’t fond of being picked up or handled too much, but with gentle encouragement, she’s made great strides in socialization. Fiona’s ideal family will give her the space she needs while letting her grow at her own pace—she’s sure to blossom into a wonderful companion for those who respect her boundaries and love her just as she is. ___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
