This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.Bandie needs at risk placement for medical reasons. She is a senior cat with a severe upper respiratory infection. She is not eating and needs supportive care in a veterinary clinic to recover.A volunteer writes:Bandie was brought into our care as her owner passed away. It was a shock for this very senior dame to leave behind her past and find herself in a shelter environment. Bandie did not like it at all and did not really want to make friends. She was too scared. She arrived as a frail elderly cat, quite underweight and got sick quickly with a bad cold. Likely too weak to react, she accepted yesterday some caressing on her head and even blinked when I soft spoke to her. She seemed to be interested in Gerber chicken but then changed her mind...Tomorrow is another day...Many "difficult" kitties let their guards down when they are sick and I would not be surprised for Bandie to be a real puttycat at the time of her recovery. Nevertheless, a shelter is never an ideal place for a senior cat to get better. Bandie needs your help to be moved to a veterinary facility and hopefully thereafter, into a loving home. What my friends at ACC say about me:I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.My favorite pastime is being visually admired! Pet me with your eyes! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 4.7 Age: 13yrs 0mths 2wks
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bandie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
