Please contact Jodi Rosenberg (jodi.rosenberg@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet girl looking for her forever home!Liberia NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Liberia and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Oct. 6th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Liberia Best Guess for Breed: Cattle dog and shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of July 2024 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 49.2 lbs. Gets Along With: Liberia does well with other dogs! She hasn't been seen with cats but can be tested. Currently Living at: DC area foster. Check out this video of Liberia: https://youtube.com/shorts/eW7a0TOADL4. Special Adoption Considerations: Liberia is shy and must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We would be cautious placing Liberia in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant Liberia is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie landed in the shelter through no fault of her own and is looking forward to her new chapter, one where she is safe and loved and under her own roof! She is eager to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. Right now, though, she doesn't have enough experience in new environments and can be a little shy. She's looking for extra loving humans who will show her the world at her pace. A welcoming resident dog will help her how to dog as well! Liberia has so many adoring gazes and happy tail wags and snuggles - and so much loyal companionship - to offer. What do you say? Is there a spot for her in your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me: Liberia is a wonderful dog that has been coming out of her shell very quickly! She has been really great to walk on her leash and has shown great progress each day. She is very smart having learned new things, especially with another dog showing her how to be a dog. :) While she still spends a good amount of time in her crate, she is becoming more comfortable staying outside of it and will even lay down outside of it, but will still run back to it since it's her safe space :) With a little time and patience, Liberia is going to be one stupendous pup! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
