My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I have lived with cats.I am a sweet, shy, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I am looking for a home with a patient person.Baby Ruth tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: Yes, some cats think reaching out their paws to tap passerby is part of their job description while others take a little time to think of how to find their place in such a busy world. Baby Ruth is probably closer to the latter. Curled up on her Kuranda bed, she wasn't looking to make any big splashy waves and understandably so. At 8 years young, she's only trying to fit in. When I went to say hello to Baby Ruth, she gently leaned her head all the way back and relaxed into pets. She didn't feel up for hopping down from her Kuranda bed and that's ok because sometimes we just meet our friends where they are. Plus, Baby Ruth knows about forever families - she has lived with other cats and was brought to us when her person could no longer care for her. She's ready for a family to call her own and we hope it will be with you. Primary Color: Orange Weight: 6 Age: 8yrs 0mths 3wks
