From Bluey's Foster Mom: I've grown incredibly attached to her, but I think she'd be better off with someone who can give her more attention than my busy life allows. Bluey has been through a lot in her short life. When she was just a tiny kitten, weighing only a pound, she was hit by a car. I found out about the accident through a local neighbor group and rushed her to the emergency vet. The poor little thing had a diaphragmatic hernia from the impact, which pushed her organs up into her chest. She had to grow stronger before she could have surgery, and I was on edge praying she'd pull through. Thankfully, Bluey made it through the surgery and recovered amazingly well. But soon after, she came down with an upper respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia after her spay appointment. On top of that, she somehow managed to break a rib. Despite all she's been through, Bluey is a resilient and playful kitten who thrives on attention from her feline friends. One thing to note is that Bluey and I share a rare birth defect - we were both born without a ball joint in one hip. But the vet doesn't think this will cause her any problems in the future. She gets around just fine despite it. Truly, she zooms around my house with another foster kitten. Bluey isn't a clingy cat who wants to be held m, but she's very friendly and loves to play and be near people. She's not feral or untouchable, just independent. She does great with cats, dogs and kids.
