My foster writes: Pippy is the sweetest black cat in all the land. She's calm and curious. She's completely respectful of your space. Her favorite activity is finding a comfy place to lounge and observe the world while you're hanging out. She's also a BIG head scratch fan, loves her treats, and loves batting around her favorite little toys when she's feeling playful. Pippy is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, easy-going, compassionate friend. She's just the best! Please check here for updated adoption hours.Pippy has made great improvements since her last assessment. She came out of the cubby with verbal coaxing, allowed all petting while putting her face right up to the assessor's head, curious, and while she didn't ask for petting she seemed content to received it. We was coaxed off the shelf using treats, ate squeeze up and mostly tolerated being picked up, struggling slightly and vocalizing a little discontent with a "grumbling" meow.Pippy has significantly improved and interacts with the assessor, appreciates & solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience but should be counseled on her slight reluctance to being picked up.A volunteer writes: Imagine my surprise seeing Pippy playfully poke her paws out at me because only days prior she had been hiding. One day you're hiding and the next you're a star and then maybe you go back to hiding! But you know, progress isn't always linear. When I opened Pippy's condo door, she returned to her den, but this time she peeked her head out and regarded me hopefully. I offered Pippy a pipe cleaner feather and out came those little paws! Stretching, reaching, and rolling into playtime, Pippy let her guard down to really enjoy herself. Now, when I went to pet her, she explained she's not quite ready for that and that's ok. However, each time I went to close her condo door, she'd come racing out of her den to wave her paws at me. We settled into a little routine and though we didn't go far with the pets, it's a big change from where she had been. Pippy was brought here because her person passed away and learning the Care Center has admittedly been a bit of a learning curve. We can celebrate her progress and the benefits of what a little time, a little patience, and a whole lot of love can do for those in need! Pippy is now "open" for petting and cuddling-Check my new video. She is a sweet gal in search of welcoming arms and a comfi lap! We are so glad that Pippy made such progresses. She is a star!!! Primary Color: Black Weight: 10.4 Age: 5yrs 3mths 3wks
