Hoss is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with Hoss's foster! Hoss is: - Neutered - Up to date on vaccines - Microchipped - Heartworm negative - Currently taking medication for anxiety support Hoss is: Housebroken: He has been doing well overall when on a consistent routine Crate trained: He has done well when home alone for up to 6 hours, but can take time to settle when crated while his people are home Leash walking: He can become overexcited when he sees other dogs on walks, and will need to keep working on this with positive reinforcement Dog social: Yes, he lives with a resident dog in his foster home and has been doing well! He has been especially well-matched with playful dog pals. Cat social: He has done well in living with a dog-savvy, confident cat after a slow intro period Kid friendly: Unknown but would likely do best with kids 12+ given his excitability Hoss likes: - cuddle sessions on the couch with his humans - a good wrestling match with a dog pal - a nice game of fetch in the backyard, and he will do anything for a squeaky ball! - learning new tricks in exchange for tasty snacks Hoss is an amazing dog, a loyal companion with a strong desire to please and entertain you! He loves to romp around with other dogs, play fetch with a squeaky ball, and snuggle up as close as he can on the couch with you after a busy day. He looks right into your soul with his striking eyes, and the bond he makes with his person is incredible. He's a sensitive soul that needs his person to pay attention to his needs, but with time and patience he has become a very well behaved and enjoyable companion. He will make you laugh with his antics, and he will keep you active. He loves long walks and hikes, and he loves trying new things. He is smart and loves to train. He knows Sit, Down, Paw, Wait, OK (release), goes into his kennel on command, and heels perfectly on walks when asked. He has done well at both agility and swimming classes! He is all around a very fun guy, and he just can't wait to meet you! Hoss's adoption fee has been sponsored by generous supporters! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/
