** IBD history ** Open to a palliative foster My friends and I were a transplant from another rescue in Mississauga that was shutting down. I was a very shy and withdrawn girl when I first arrived. I found the best hiding spots to camp out in! Turns out humans aren’t that bad and they give the best head rubs! I’m now an extremely affectionate girl who loves attention - and I also enjoy belly rubs when the right situation presents itself. I’m still nervous in new environments and with new people, so patience will be very important. I’m relatively indifferent to toys and treats, and would much rather find a nice bed to lay in and I love to use my scratchers! When I was in for my dental work-up it was noted that something felt off in my abdomen. After some x-rays and ultrasounds, the vets suspect I have some sort of IBD/IBS. I was trialed on some medications that I have since done a very slow taper off of the past couple months. So far I’ve been completely symptom-free (my main issue was soft stool)! It’s possible I may never need to go back on medication again, or only when I have flare-ups, or it’s also possible it may be something I’ll need long term - only time and careful monitoring will tell. I’m otherwise healthy and while I have no teeth, I enjoy my kibble and wet food all the same. I’m fairly indifferent to other cats, and would do great either in a home with another friend, or to a nice quiet home by myself. A palliative foster means that we provide supplies and vet care needed (as long as you use one of our partner vets, who are located in Markham), all we ask is that you provide our cat(s) with a loving home with lots of attention for the remainder of their life, or until it no longer works for you (or if you end up wanting to adopt!).Applications are reviewed in order received until an appropriate match is made.
