Meet Shades A Loyal Heart Learning to Shine Shades story begins in Korea, where this beautiful light-brown Jindo mix started life as a timid little puppy, unsure of the big world around him. New experiencesespecially trips to the vetfelt overwhelming, and he would bark out of fear, not knowing yet that he was safe. But time, patience, and gentle care have helped Shades grow into a remarkable young dog who is learning to trust more each day. Now Shades is in that wonderful in-between stageno longer a tiny puppy, but still full of youthful energy, curiosity, and heart. While he may still be a little shy when meeting new people, all it takes is a walk together for his walls to melt away. Once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal nature truly shines through. Shades is a strong, active boy who would thrive in a home that can match his medium-to-high energy level. He loves being outdoors, exploring, and playing with other dogs. Hes social and friendly once hes had a proper introduction, though his playful style can be a bit enthusiastic as he continues to learn his manners. Shades is both house trained (using pee pads and outdoors) and rides well in the car. He rarely barks, isnt destructive, and has no history of aggression. He does have a strong food drive and prefers to eat on his own, but hes respectful and gentle with people. Hes currently working on his crate training and leash skills, as he can get a little excited and pullbut with consistency, hes eager to learn. Because of his energy and strength, Shades would do best in a home with a yard where he can run and play freely. An apartment environment wouldnt be the right fit for him. He could live with older children, though his interactions with younger kids are still limited. While he hasnt met cats yet, he has shown great social skills with other dogs. At his core, Shades is incredibly perceptivehe reads emotions well and forms deep bonds with his people. He can be a little dramatic when things dont go his way (a trait that will surely make you smile), and his big personality is balanced by an equally big heart.
