My story

Hiya! My name is Maria and I am proof that great things come in small packages! I have eight siblings and I am the runt of the litter. Don't let my size fool you though. I am an energetic little girl with loads of love to give! My littermates and I were born February 20, 2019. I am the BEST jumper out of all of my siblings and I love to jump into the air to catch feather toys. I also LOVE attention. I'm constantly pawing at my foster mom's pants so she'll pay attention to me. I instantly start to purr when someone pets me. I use the litterbox like a good girl and I'm an all-around wonderful kitten. Apply for me soon! I promise you will love me! Adoption fee: $100. Adopt a pair: $150. Make an in-person donation of $17.76 or more at this event and you can choose a free THANK YOU gift - a small pet bed or portable toy box. All adoption fees for adult dogs and cats are just $17.76 through July 7. Kittens are 50% off the $100 adoption fee. Adoption event dates for 2019: July 6, August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2 and December 7. Saturday, July 13: Adoption event at Magoo's Pet Outlet, 3050 Union Lake Rd, in Commerce Township, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 2nd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2019: July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9 and December 14. Saturday, July 20: Adoption event at PetPeople, 3038 Walton Blvd., Rochester Hills. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 3rd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates at PetPeople Rochester Hills for 2019: July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19, November 16 and December 21. Saturday, July 27: Adoption event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd., Bloomfield Hills. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 4th Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates at PetPeople Bloomfield Hills for 2019: July 27, August 24, September 28, October 26 and November 23. NO event in December. NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label. Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
