QUICK FACTS Name: Cocomong Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Poodle Color: Black Weight: 3.5kg / 7.7lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a Poodle breeding facility, where my life had been shaped by circumstances beyond my control. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance to experience kindness, comfort, and the care every dog needs. Now, I’m leaving that chapter behind and looking forward to a brighter future filled with love, companionship, and a forever family to call my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Cocomong! I’m a little black girl with a gentle nature, a curious mind, and a rather unusual haircut at the moment! My fur was so badly tangled that much of it had to be shaved, including around my face. I might not look like the fluffy Poodle you’re used to seeing just yet, but I’ll be absolutely beautiful once my black curls grow back. For now, I hope you can see the charm beneath my temporary haircut! I can be slightly shy when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly, especially when treats are involved! I’m comfortable with gentle touch and enjoy following people around once we’ve become acquainted. During my profile photoshoot, I surprised everyone by being the most cheerful, clever, and curious of the group! I was interested in everything happening around me, showing a playful spark that might not be obvious from my initially reserved manner. I’d love a family who appreciates the sweet little dog beneath my funny haircut and gives me the opportunity to enjoy the comforts I may have missed. A soft place to rest, peaceful surroundings, and everyday adventures with my people would mean so much to me. My beautiful black curls will take time to grow back, but my next chapter doesn't have to wait. I’m ready to discover what it feels like to be a cherished member of a family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but tasty treats are a great way to win me over! I’m happy to accept treats, and it usually doesn’t take long before I warm up and feel comfortable being petted. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally prefer a friendly greeting rather than engaging in play. I don’t show much interest in interacting with other dogs beyond a quick hello and am usually content doing my own thing around them. If another dog tries to provoke me, I typically choose to walk away and avoid conflict rather than engage. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I’m currently working on my leash skills and getting used to going on walks. With continued practice, patience, and consistent guidance, I can gradually become more comfortable and confident on my walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs I rarely bark. I may whine when I’m in a kennel, but with continued positive kennel training, patience, and a consistent routine, I can gradually learn to feel more comfortable and settle on my own. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES In addition to my severely matted coat, my rescuers noticed an area on my bottom where the fur is missing.
