My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Bbaekkom Age: About 6 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Poodle Color: White Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a dog farm operated by the head of a pet grooming association, where dogs were kept for use in grooming practice. Instead of experiencing the warmth and comfort of a loving home, my early life was spent in an environment where dogs were treated as training subjects. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance to experience kindness, care, and companionship. Now, I’m looking forward to a brighter future and finding a loving forever family who will cherish me for who I am.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Bbaekkom! I’m a bright, clever girl with big ears, adorable curly fur, long legs, and the cutest little eyes. I have a wonderfully cheerful personality that makes me even more entertaining. There’s always something catching my attention, something worth investigating, or someone new I’d like to meet. My rescuers say I’m the kind of happy-go-lucky dog who could win hearts just about anywhere! People are definitely my favorite part of life. I’m so outgoing that I’ll happily run straight into the arms of someone I’ve only just met! I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy their company, but if you put a person and a dog in front of me, I’ll probably head straight for the human. I’m naturally sociable, enthusiastic, and always interested in being part of whatever my people are doing. What makes my cheerful personality especially remarkable is my past. I spent nearly my entire life confined to a raised cage and was repeatedly used as a grooming practice dog. Despite having so few opportunities to experience the world outside that environment, I’ve remained incredibly open and trusting toward people. I’m also a smart little girl with some amusing habits. I already understand how to sit when someone gives my bottom a gentle tap, and I pick up on things around me quite quickly. And then there’s my very particular sleeping arrangement! When bedtime comes, I somehow know exactly which kennel has a lid, and I make a beeline for it before anyone else can claim it. Even when my rescuers offer me a larger, more spacious kennel, I insist on squeezing my long-legged body into my favorite little one. I’ll settle myself inside, peek my face out through the open top, and look perfectly pleased with my decision. Apparently, when it comes to sleeping accommodations, I have very specific tastes—and bigger definitely doesn’t mean better! I’d love a family who appreciates a clever, cheerful companion with a little quirkiness mixed in. I have so much curiosity, personality, and enthusiasm for people, and I’m finally getting the chance to discover a life beyond the cage I once knew. Whether I’m running over to greet you, learning something new, or poking my little face out of my ridiculously small favorite kennel, I have a feeling I’ll find plenty of ways to make you smile. After spending so long with such a limited world, I’m ready for a home where I can finally enjoy all the wonderful things I’ve been missing.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I happily approach both familiar faces and new people to say hello and ask for attention. I love leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted, even by someone I’ve just met. I’m so friendly and trusting that I may even roll over and show my belly to a complete stranger! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I love approaching both familiar and new friends to say hello and invite them to play. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. When there’s something I really want, I may use a little barking to let you know, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES My separation anxiety isn’t currently severe, but I may be prone to developing it, so gradually building up my comfort with alone time and maintaining a consistent routine will be important in helping me feel secure and independent.    BBAEKOM'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2866342##
