QUICK FACTS Name: Pizza Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Mini Jindo – Shiba Mix Color: Brown Weight: 6kg / 13.2lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance and the opportunity to begin again. Now, I’m looking forward to a brighter chapter filled with love, companionship, and a forever family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Pizza! I’m an absolutely tiny dog who looks a little like someone took a Shiba Inu and shrank the whole package down to miniature size. I’m ridiculously cute, very expressive, and once we know each other, I’m an enormous affection seeker. When I first meet someone, I can be sensitive about unfamiliar handling. The good news is that I don’t hold onto that suspicion for very long. With a careful introduction, a little confidence, and perhaps a treat or two, and I can become comfortable in less than five minutes. And once Pizza has decided you’re a friend, you get a completely different dog. I’ll show you my belly, follow you around, ask for affection, and reveal just how incredibly people-oriented I really am! Underneath that tiny, opinionated exterior is an incredibly affectionate little dog who loves people deeply once she feels secure. Give me five minutes to decide who you are before asking for cuddles, and there’s a good chance I’ll soon be following you everywhere and rolling over for belly rubs. I may look like a miniature Shiba with very big opinions, but once you’re officially part of my circle, I have an equally big amount of affection waiting for you.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, though I can be a little shy when I first meet someone. Treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable coming closer and enjoying some gentle pets. Once I get to know and trust you, my affectionate side really comes out—I may even roll over and show you my belly! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.  · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I especially do well with dogs bigger than me. If another dog challenges or provokes me, however, I may respond rather than back away, so calm and careful introductions are important when I’m meeting a new dog for the first time. Also, I can become jealous around other dogs, so I would likely be happiest as the only dog in my future home, where I won’t need to share attention with another canine companion. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show any food guarding toward them, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so giving me my own space at mealtimes is best. When there’s something I really want, I may bark to let you know, and I may also bark when I see someone unfamiliar. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can relax, feel secure, and be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Humans are much more exciting to me than dog companionship, and I’d likely be especially happy as the only dog in a home where I can soak up plenty of individual attention.
