QUICK FACTS Name: Ppoyu Age: About 4 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Pomeranian – Spitz Mix Color: White Weight: 7.2kg / 15.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued in 2024 after being found neglected in a home filled with garbage, where I had been living without the proper care I needed. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to experience a more secure and caring life. With that difficult chapter behind me, I’m now looking forward to a fresh start and finding a loving forever family to share my future with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Ppoyu! I’m a sweet, gentle girl with fluffy white fur, adorable pink ears, a pleasantly round little body, and a beautiful smiling face. I can be cautious around unfamiliar people at first, and in some situations I may bark quite a bit when someone new appears. But my uncertainty tends to disappear quickly—sometimes treats are all it takes to get our friendship started! I’ve even approached people I’ve just met to ask for affection, and I can usually become comfortable within a day. Once you start petting me, there’s a very good chance I’ll roll right over and show you my belly. I do this often when I’m enjoying affection, and I’ve even been known to lie down in the middle of a walk when someone stops to pet me. During an outdoor photo session I was initially unsure of everything, but once I was brought inside and given some gentle pets, I immediately rolled onto my back and relaxed. I may need a moment to feel safe, but there’s a wonderfully affectionate girl waiting just underneath that initial hesitation. I’m naturally very soft-natured, though, and even when I’m sharing treats alongside other dogs, I haven’t shown any tendency to guard the food. I’d love a family who can give me the companionship and stability I’ve been missing while understanding that a few of my habits may take time and patience to work through. Give me a safe home, gentle affection, and a chance to settle into everyday family life, and I’ll bring my fluffy white coat, pink ears, happy smile, and plenty of belly-up requests for pets along with me.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable being petted. Once I start feeling at ease, my trusting side comes out—I may even show my belly to someone I’ve just met! I can be gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly, although being held isn’t something I particularly enjoy, so I appreciate having my preferences respected. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally prefer a friendly greeting rather than engaging in play. I tend to be easygoing in my interactions, and if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I’m an experienced walker with good leash manners and generally follow my person well without pulling. However, if something unexpected happens or I hear a loud noise, I may feel unsure and lie down while showing my belly, so calm reassurance and gentle guidance can help me feel secure and continue on my way.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel. I may bark when I see unfamiliar people, but with time and positive experiences, I can be given opportunities to become more comfortable with new faces. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES My separation anxiety is not currently severe, but I may be prone to developing it. When I’m isolated by myself, I may pace or circle repeatedly and sometimes turn to bite at my tail or hindquarters. This repetitive behavior developed after I had been left neglected in a home filled with garbage. With companionship, enrichment, routine, and less isolation, may help me improve, although my family should continue to observe the behavior and support me patiently rather than expecting it to disappear immediately. I’m still learning some aspects of being handled. I don’t really understand how to be held in the usual way, so I tend to lie down while someone picks me up instead.
