My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Judy Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 15.3kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued back in 2023, together with my mother and my siblings. Thanks to that rescue, my family and I were given the chance to grow up safely, surrounded by kindness and care. Now I'm excited to find a loving forever family of my own and begin the next wonderful chapter of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Judy! I'm a beautiful white Jindo with the classic elegance and quiet charm the breed is known for. I'm naturally gentle and a little shy, so new places can feel overwhelming at first. Even so, I'm kind enough to allow gentle handling from people I've just met, and once I realize you're a friend, I open my heart surprisingly quickly. Because I'm a sensitive girl, unfamiliar environments can make me feel nervous, and I may even be too worried to accept treats until I've had some time to settle in. When I feel safe and secure, though, my sweet and gentle personality begins to shine. I thrive with patient, understanding people who let me build confidence at my own pace. If you're willing to give me the patience and security I need, you'll discover a deeply loyal, gentle companion whose trust is incredibly rewarding to earn. I may take a little time to blossom, but once I do, I'll be devoted to my family for life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be quite cautious around unfamiliar people and usually need time before I feel completely comfortable. Once I've had time to build trust, my affectionate side begins to shine, and I may even roll over to show you my belly. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up with support under my belly when needed. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I may simply need some time and guidance as I experience something new. · With Dogs: I'm friendly and polite when meeting other dogs and enjoy walking over to say hello, though I'm usually more interested in a friendly greeting than starting a play session. I tend to get along especially well with dogs around my own size or smaller. While I'm generally well-mannered, I may stand my ground if another dog provokes me, so thoughtful introductions and careful management during first meetings with unfamiliar dogs will help set everyone up for success. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown but I’m curious about cats and may stop to watch them, but I respond well to guidance and will follow along when my person redirects me. Birds are much more tempting, though, and I may try to chase them when I see one.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors before happily settling down to relax once I've had my exercise. I'm an experienced walker with excellent leash manners—I don't pull and naturally stay connected to my person. One of my favorite parts of a walk is taking my time to sniff and explore the world around me, so don't be surprised if I occasionally stop to investigate all the interesting scents along the way.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so I appreciate having my own space during mealtimes. If there’s something I really want, I may let you know with a little bark. I stay relaxed in my kennel I am flexible with my potty habits—I generally prefer going outside but can also use indoor pee pads when needed.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES My safety is especially important. In unfamiliar environments, I can have a strong instinct to flee if I become frightened, so I will need a home that carefully follows our rescue's safety guidelines. A Tractive GPS tracker is required, along with secure management during my transition, to help keep me safe while I settle into my new life.    JUDY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2803516##
