My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Volvo Age: 11 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 11kg / 24.2lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list after being found alone at a crowded city pound. No one knows how I ended up there, but because the shelter was running out of space, my future became uncertain. Thankfully, kind rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the second chance I had been waiting for. My difficult past is now behind me, and I'm ready to leave those days behind as I begin a beautiful new chapter with a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I was rescued from a city shelter when I was just a young puppy and grew up there. At first, I was very scared of people and would tremble with fear, but with time and patience, I learned to trust and my bright, playful personality began to shine. I may be a little shy in unfamiliar places at first, but I warm up quickly once I feel safe. I absolutely love both people and other dogs! I enjoy playing with dogs of all sizes and happily join in whenever my friends want to run or wrestle. One of my funniest habits is rolling around on the ground while I play. Whether it's muddy or rainy, I don't mind getting dirty if it means I'm having fun! The volunteers always say I'm a cheerful pup who finds joy in every little adventure   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but tasty treats are a great way to win me over! It doesn't take me long to warm up once I feel comfortable, and before you know it, I'll happily accept pets and affection. I also don't mind being picked up, and one of my favorite ways to show that I trust you is by rolling over for belly rubs once I feel safe. · With Dogs: I love greeting new dogs and making new friends! I get along especially well with dogs that are my size or bigger and enjoy spending time playing and socializing with them. I also have a gentle, easygoing nature and prefer to keep the peace. If another dog is being pushy or trying to start trouble, I'd much rather walk away than get involved in any conflict. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still working on my leash manners and may pull a little when I'm excited, but I do a good job following my handler's lead. If something startles me during a walk, I may lie flat on the ground while I take a moment to feel safe again. I have wonderful manners around food and don't guard my meals from either people or other dogs. I may bark when I want attention, but otherwise I'm a well-mannered companion. For potty habits, I currently use both pee pads indoors and go potty outside as well.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • I may be a little shy at first, but with a patient and understanding family, I'll quickly come out of my shell and show you my sweet personality.   SPECIAL NOTES One of my cutest features is my ears. One stands up while the other flops over, giving me an adorable and unique look that is sure to make you smile. The volunteers can't help but fall in love with my sweet expression and charming personality. I may be a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, I'll happily shower you with kisses. I'm also very food motivated, which makes me eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. Every day, I'm becoming more confident and improving my leash walking skills.   VOLVO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2797358##
