QUICK FACTS Name: Jeongnam Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White and Brown Weight: 16kg / 35lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I spent my entire life in a wire enclosure, kept only for the purpose of the meat trade. I did not know what it meant to have a home, a soft bed, or a gentle touch. Now, I have been given a second chance. I am learning, little by little, that life can be safe, kind, and full of care. Every new experience is unfamiliar to me, but I am beginning to understand that people can also bring comfort instead of fear. I am ready to step forward into a different life—one filled with patience, healing, and hope. I dream of a future where I can finally belong to someone who will love me for who I am today and who I am becoming.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I may need a little time to warm up to new people, but once I feel safe, my gentle and affectionate personality begins to shine through. I can be cautious around strangers at first, showing a bit of wariness, but with people I recognize and trust, I come forward first to ask for attention and show my sweet, loving side. I have a kind heart and a soft temperament. I’m a very handsome boy, a little shy but deeply affectionate once I open up. I’m still on my journey, but ready to bloom with the right family who will give me patience and love.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet new people. If you offer me a treat, I’ll usually accept it, but I need a bit more time before I feel comfortable enough to be touched. Once I get to know you and trust you, I slowly open up and allow gentle petting. I’m okay with being carefully picked up with an arm under my belly when needed. When I truly feel safe and close to someone, I may even roll over and show my belly—a sign that I trust you completely and feel happy in your presence. · With Dogs: I’m a social and friendly dog who enjoys meeting other dogs and saying hello, even if we’ve just met. I like to approach and invite others to play, and I’m generally comfortable interacting with new friends. I tend to get along best with dogs who are similar in size to me. However, I can be sensitive in certain situations. If another dog behaves in a pushy or provocative way, I may react back, so I do best with careful, supervised introductions when meeting unfamiliar dogs for the first time. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I really enjoy spending time outdoors. I like going for walks and exploring, but after some activity, I’m also happy to settle down quietly and rest beside you. I have good experience with walking and generally do well on a leash. I tend to follow my person closely and don’t usually pull, especially when I feel secure and guided by someone I trust. I’m most comfortable walking in calm, quiet areas where I can relax and take in my surroundings. Busy roads with lots of traffic can still feel scary to me, so I may need patience, reassurance, and encouragement in those environments.   TRAINING & HABITS I have a generally gentle relationship with food when it comes to people—I don’t feel the need to guard my meals from humans. However, if another dog approaches me while I’m eating, I may growl to let them know I want my space respected. When I want something or feel excited, I may express myself with demand barking to communicate my needs. I’m still learning calmer ways to ask, but I am very expressive and clear about what I’m feeling. I am well-behaved in a kennel or crate. I can settle down quietly when transported or when I need a safe, calm space to rest. For potty habits, I can use both indoor pee pads and outdoor bathroom breaks, depending on the routine of my home.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
