My story

Rosie is still young and a playful pup. She loves her toys. Stuffies are a fav, however, they dont last long :) Her ideal walking time is first thing in the morning or later in the evening, she is more at ease with less commotion of traffic, people walking. She will react to other dogs being walked if they start barking/reacting to her, this part of leash training is still in progress. She is OK but tends to be a bit more anxious. Her ideal household will provide her freedom to be herself, with limited crate time. While she is crate trained, she does try to avoid being put in. Her new home should have a fenced yard and bit of an area to play and run. A kiddie pool is a must as it was difficult to keep her out of it last summer :) she absolutely loves to run around, jump in, jump out. She is good around children. Cats are curious creatures to Rosie, however, she since she is young and full energy and does have a bit of a prey drive, it is wise that if her new home has a cat, they are not left alone for the first while. Car rides, while she does not have many, she had no issues or anxiety going for a drive. She was rescued from Texas at an early age and suffered badly from mange. She has overcome this and fur has grown back nicely. She stayed with a foster out there with some property, which is where she found her love of playing in water. She tends to be shy/unsure around new comers, while she is not aggressive she does bark, until she gets to know you and settles down. She also likes to talk to you, when you play into it you will find yourself having a conversation:) while she can play and get along great with other dogs she is dominant, so best to be a single dog, unless placed with a submissive or male ? dog. She will not do well with another dominant female or dog that does not submit to her. She is a bed sleeper :) she likes to be nice and close to her people, however, if it gets too hot you will find her on the floor. She will do the same when her people chill and watch a movie / tv, she will either be tucked up close or chill on the floor in close proximity. Rosie needs a home that is loving yet firm, to let her live to her full potential, but still keep her boisterousness in check.Name: Rosie MaeWeight: ~ 54 lbsGender: Female, SpayedBreed: Lab crossColour: Seal (combo of brown /black)Medical (past and present) & HW Status: UTD, Healthy, HW negativeGood with adults: YesGood with kids: YesGood with dogs: Only with males or submissive femalesGood with cats: Yes (however, she does have a bit of prey drive)House trained: YesCrate trained: YesCrate aggressive: NoFood aggressive: NoLeash trained: YesEnergy level: MediumSuitable for an apartment: Only if long walks are part of the planCan be handled: YesBarker: Yes, she is a talkative dog
