My story

Meet Pita! 4 year old Pita is a happy, affectionate girl who loves being part of the action! She does wonderfully in all kinds of situations and is always ready for an adventure. She travels beautifully in the car and has no problem visiting busy public places. Pita loves people, activity, and FOOD! She is very food-motivated and will happily follow her nose if something smells delicious. She is wonderful with children of all ages, but she gets so excited that she does not always remember to keep all four paws on the floor and her kisses come with enthusiasm! Because of this, she should be supervised around very young children. On leash, Pita does well but needs occasional reminders to stay close. She is also comfortable in her crate. Pita can be nervous when first greeting other dogs and doesn’t appreciate dogs getting loud or too much in her face. She may challenge them back, but with proper introductions, she does well with other dogs. She loves to play and would be fine with dog-savvy cats who don’t mind telling her when enough is enough! A home with a securely fenced backyard would be ideal for Pita, giving her plenty of space to enjoy her love of activity and play. Because Pita can be vocal, an apartment or condo would not be suitable for her. Pita is a loving, joyful girl looking for a family who will enjoy her enthusiasm, continue her training, and appreciate her big personality.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pita, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
