QUICK FACTS Name: Chuseok Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Papillon – Pomeranian Mix Color: Black Weight: 8kg / 17.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance and the opportunity to begin again. Now, I’m looking forward to a brighter chapter filled with love, companionship, and a forever family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Chuseok! If you gathered up every compliment you could possibly give a dog—sweet, friendly, gentle, adaptable, affectionate, easygoing—and put them all together, you’d end up with a pretty accurate description of me. New people, unfamiliar dogs, different places… I seem to take just about everything in stride. I genuinely love people and have the kind of open, trusting personality that helps me settle comfortably wherever I go. I’m especially affectionate with humans. I’m incredibly gentle and happily let people handle and cuddle me, practically putting my whole body into their hands without much concern about what they’re doing. Then there’s my appearance, which is difficult to take seriously because apparently everything about my face makes people smile. I have big ears with long wisps of fur that make me look like I’m wearing pigtails. Even better is my adorable underbite, complete with a lower tooth that sticks out like a tiny baby goblin fang. Finding something to criticize about my personality is apparently difficult, so my rescuers had to look elsewhere—and then they remembered my jumping skills. I am an exceptionally talented little athlete who has figured out how to clear the various fences around the rescue center and unexpectedly appear where no one was expecting me! Beyond my unauthorized fence-hopping adventures, I’m a wonderful, amazing little dog. I may arrive with oversized ears, pigtail-like ear fluff, one mischievous little fang, and the athletic ability to appear on the wrong side of a fence—but I also come with an enormous amount of sweetness. I’m ready to love the people around me, explore whatever new life they introduce me to, and make them laugh every time they look at my wonderfully imperfect smile. Wherever I eventually call home, I have a feeling I’ll make myself part of the family very quickly.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I’m happy to approach both familiar faces and new people for attention. I enjoy leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted, even by someone I’ve just met. Once I start feeling at ease, my trusting side really comes out—I may even roll over and show my belly to someone I’ve just met! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs around my own size, and if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict rather than engage. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs I rarely bark. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
