My story

Bama is a sweet girl and she's been waiting far too long for someone to show her what a safe and loving home feels like. Bama can be shy when she first meets you, but once she realizes she's safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She just needs someone patient and understanding who will give her the time she deserves to come out of her shell. One of Bama's favorite things is going for walks, and she is an amazing walking companion. She has been walked by many different men and women at the shelter, and everyone has the same thing to say: Bama is wonderful on a leash and such a sweet girl. She enjoys her walks and is lovely to have by your side. Bama has been at the shelter since December 2023, when she was just a tiny baby. That means the shelter is the only life she has ever known-a loud, busy, and often scary environment. It's no wonder that she needs some time to decompress and learn that the world can be a quiet, safe, and happy place. Because of this, Bama would do best in a calm, patient home where she can take things at her own pace. She needs someone who will let her build trust without rushing her and celebrate those little moments when she finally feels safe enough to let her personality shine. Bama is also good with other dogs and would really benefit from having a friendly, calm, confident canine companion to help show her the ropes and give her some reassurance as she adjusts to life outside the shelter. Bama has spent her entire life waiting. She deserves the chance to experience a quiet home, a soft place to sleep, daily walks, and someone who will patiently show her that she is safe and loved. Once she knows she can trust you, you'll get to see the sweet girl who has been hiding underneath all that uncertainty.
