My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Minhoo Age: About 1.5 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Color: White Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was born alongside my four siblings and spent my first year of life living in a raised wire cage. Thankfully, we were rescued and given the chance to experience a kinder world. After spending time in foster care, I've continued my journey in search of a forever family. Now I'm looking forward to finding a loving home where I can finally settle in and enjoy the happy life every dog deserves.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Minhoo! I'm a handsome Jindo with a bright personality, a curious mind, and a heart that's always ready to make new friends. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things—I might even greet you with a kiss the very first time we meet! I love saying hello to everyone, and if I spot a person nearby, I'll happily come over to see what you're up to. The world is full of exciting things to discover, and I never want to miss out on the fun. I'm an intelligent boy with a wonderful balance of energy. I enjoy staying active and exploring, but I'm also happy to settle down and relax with my people. I already know how to sit, learn new things quickly, and genuinely enjoy working together with my humans. My enthusiasm and eagerness to connect make training both enjoyable and rewarding. If you're looking for a smart, affectionate companion with a playful spirit and a heart full of love, I'd be so excited to meet you. I can't wait to share adventures, learn new things together, and become your loyal best friend.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm an affectionate and outgoing dog who loves meeting people. Whether you're a close friend or someone I've just met, I'll happily come over to say hello, lean in for attention, and enjoy plenty of gentle pets. While I love affection, I don't particularly enjoy being picked up by supporting me under my belly, so I appreciate having all four paws on the ground whenever possible. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so my behavior around young kids is simply unknown. · With Dogs: I'm an outgoing and social dog who loves making new friends. Whether we've known each other for a while or we're meeting for the first time, I'll happily walk over to say hello and invite other dogs to play. If another dog becomes confrontational, however, I may respond in return, so thoughtful introductions with unfamiliar dogs help set everyone up for success. Once I know another dog has friendly intentions, I'm a fun and enthusiastic playmate. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's exploring, playing, or simply taking in my surroundings. After I've had a chance to burn off some energy, I'm happy to settle down and relax quietly. On walks, I can be a little enthusiastic and may pull on the leash at times, but I generally stay connected with my person and enjoy walking together. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, I'll continue developing into a well-mannered walking companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I have good manners around people when it comes to food and don't mind if someone is nearby while I'm eating. Around other dogs, however, I may give a warning growl if one comes too close to my meal, so feeding me separately or giving me a little personal space during mealtimes helps everyone stay comfortable. If there's something I want, I may let you know with a bit of demand barking—I'm simply good at communicating! With consistent guidance, I'll continue learning when it's the right time to use my voice. I may whine a little when I'm in a kennel, especially at first, as it's my way of expressing myself. With reassurance and a consistent routine, I settle more easily. I'm also well accustomed to both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty breaks, so I can adapt well to different home routines.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Because I haven't had many life experiences, I'm still getting used to certain types of handling. Being picked up or having my hind legs or back end touched can make me feel uncomfortable, so I'm currently practicing these skills through positive, gentle training. With patience and encouragement, I'm becoming more confident every day.    MINHOO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2808799##
